Default Suburban heater issue

I thought my Suburban furnace was acting up because of erratic 12V supply but the power's all fixed up and I've still got this symptom:
The furnace will start and run till the thermostat shuts it down. The van cools, but the furnace won't start a new cycle of heat. i can hear a faint electrical hum at the furnace when the thermostat asks for heat, but it won't start. Come back another day and the same thing happens.
Has anyone had this experience?

It sounds like the air circulating motor may have a dead spot or tight bearings when warm. If you pull the furnace out and try to run it without gas, the fans should still run so you could watch and even give the motor a spin to see if it would start, if that was the issue.

The thermostat in my 05/04 190P will have corrosion on/in ...... the temperature slide control every few years. I just spray carb cleaner or = and then slide the knob up and down a bunch!!! Otherwise, it will not operate appropriately. It looks like this:

Default Eureka! Found the problem!

Thanks for everybody's support---
The solution was a new fan motor. What was interesting and not quite established was why the fan would start after a long period of inactivity, but not after the initial start. It seemed to fail when it was warmed up.
Regardless, the new motor has it licked

Thanks again!

Craig: Glad you have it solved. Did they have to pull the whole heater to put in the new fan?

Hello Gallen,
The whole heater had to come out. it was a little more than I was up for, but I've got a great propane guy nearby- he even had the fan in stock!
