Default Views/Comments of moving from a Small MH to a Larger

i just finished reading Chuck Woodbury's comments, in RV Travel – News, Information & Advice for RVers about his thoughts after having moved to to a bigger MH. Then there were some interesting comments from viewers on going into over crowded campgrounds. Just thought I would pass this on, for any readers interested in a large owners comments on being in a smaller rig. Ron

I can relate, over crowded campgrounds have common problems, noise, smell, and low voltage (in warmer climates). I spent allot of effort in soundproofing my rig and I carry a transformer whenever I camp in the summer in hot areas. Low voltage will harm your electrical system components and burn up motors.

RV Travel Newsletter Issue 792 – RV Travel

Zooming in on a campground via Google Earth can help you avoid choosing those really tight campgrounds. Follow that up with reading - sometimes between the lines - RV park reviews. It's luck of the draw when it comes to neighbors when you are there though.

Generally speaking though, I find fellow campers are usually like minded and respectful of others. If you remember that we're all in or at different stages in life and our RVing or camping needs then that can help get you through a few annoying incidents.

Another idea is to keep your options open when needing more RV. A Class B towing a trailer or a Class A towing a small Class B gives you comfort for long stays and retains the option of action packed day trips or overnights to less accessible campsites.
