Default What's more important to you? Driving comfort, noise, vibrations and harshness?

Apparently.. many people have stated that the older Sprinter T1N models , 2006 and earlier are noiser and don't ride as SMOOTHLY as the NVC3....newer 2nd generation models...

Some people have said it's like a large "tin can".....

And.. everyone loves to talk about the emissions system on the newer version...even though they are ubiquitous.... just look around at the millions of FedEx trucks on the road.. they're practically all Mercedes Benz Sprinters......

For me.... I want a vehicle that is pretty reliable ... quiet and something I enjoy driving....

What's your priorities???? See video below,

I like a comfortable, permanently made bed that I do not have to get out of from its foot.
I spend 7 to 8 hours in bed every night but I am only behind the wheel 4 hours max every other day at most.
Nice promotional video BTW.
Cheers!

My priority is off-grid capability, which we have. We are not power-limited. A plush ride might be nice, but without the ability to stay anywhere, to me it's just an oversized passenger vehicle by another name.

160 watts would not be sufficient to meet a lot of off-grid needs. IMO, we have a bare minimum system at 300 watts of solar, 300 AH of lithium, and 4-way charging (solar, alternator, shore, or generator).

Maybe there is not a sacrifice. I have a 2012 RT Popular and I just changed the original Bridgestones for Michelin ATX's. Road noise went down 30% and tracking improved dramatically. It's a pleasure to drive now. DW

Welcome to the forum DWorrell3!

Glad you got a big improvement with the new tires. Always great to get that kind of results for your money.

I too have a 2012 Chevy based rig (Airstream Avenue Suite). I'll keep the Michelin's in mind when I shop for replacements my Firestone's in a year or so.

Just wait for the new Sprinter chassis coming out later this year. That will be quite!
