Default Where to wash your class B RV?

All,

I have a 2006 Roadtrek Popular 170 and can't make it at most of the car wash due to the height? Do you have any idea where to get it washed instead of doing it at your own driveway?

Thanks a lot!

Tom

We often finish trips at a self service car wash - the kind with the wands using quarters. We also have it cleaned and waxed about once a year by a mobile auto detailer.

I’ve wondered about stopping at a truck wash to see if they would do it.

Blue Beacon truck wash does RV's. They do a pretty thorough job. Most are located near a truck stop. You could park at the truck stop and walk over and see them in action from the waiting room to see if you wanted to use them. They do use high pressure spray wands, so keep that in mind.

The trucking company that I worked for had a national account with them, they did get the sometimes really dirty and full of love bugs trucks clean.

Hi Tom,

I'm guessing that the way you worded it above "any idea where to get it washed instead of doing it at your own driveway?. If it is not the driveway, rather not washing it yourself, use your imagination concerning how to have it washed in your driveway. A 'mobile auto detailer' was mentioned, but you may consider their washes too expensive.

About 2 years ago I was leaving to roam around the western US with lots of stuff to do to prepare. One item was washing the B, but I had limited time on my feet. So I decided to not wash it myself that time. Off to get an oil change at the place I've gone for several decades. Met an employee that ended up washing the B in my driveway. The price he quoted did not seem fair, so I paid more when he finished. Washed it myself since, but I may very well do it again sometime.

How about some teenagers in your neighborhood. Maybe someone that mows your lawn or a neighbor's lawn may to do it or know someone.

We use a self service car wash that has a platform. Very easy to get to the solar panels.

I've used Blue Wash truck washes several times. They also have pressurized under carriage wash and I will do once a year. The basic wash has been good and a Sprinter has been around $30. FWIW.

Driveway. I use two ladders and a plank between them to stand high enough to wash the roof. It takes me the better part of an hour to thoroughly wash the RV.

I use an electric pressure washer in my driveway. It isn't powerful enough to damage anything, but does a really nice job. I use the ladder that came with the Paseo to access the roof.

I wash mine in the driveway. Use the Jay Leno car cleaning products.

The car wash CaDreamin mentioned is a nice ideal spot to wash with the steps to use etc.
