Default Coach batteries circuit breaker!

2000 HD Rialta, New coach batteries, New engine battery, New solenoid and New converter. Problem is the alternator isn't charging the coach batteries. Shore power and generator power DO charge the coach batteries. The alternator does charge the engine battery and I can see 13.8 volts at the coach batteries ONLY when the Aux. start switch is pressed. I only hear the solenoid energize when the aux switch is pressed NOT when the engine is running. The solenoid is energized whether the engine is on or off IF the Aux switch is pressed. That tells me the new solenoid must be good. Can the coach battery Circuit Breaker be bad? Please advise, thanks in advance. What is the purpose of the breaker?
