Default high pitch alarm

alarm sounds when key inserted and turned, even before engine starts, and continues when engine running. Alarm is high pitch and steady; other alarms okay, engine fluids okay, unable to locate source although it seems to be coming from front somewhere.

Have you turned your passenger seat around? Is the passenger seat facing forward? There is an alarm connection under the passenger seat that sounds if the seat is not facing forward. Some have disconnected the wire connector to stop this alarm.

thank you so very much-- that fixed it. the seat was forward but must not have been locked in place. The owner's manuals did not mention this!
