Default Replacing tires for 1996 Rialta

I have a 1996 Rialta and need to replace the tires. They don't make the continental tire anymore. Has anyone replace the tires with a different kind/size?

I like the Nokians myself, being a good quality European tire manufacturer (Finland). I ran them on my 2002 Rialta HD for 3 or 4 years before I sold it. (noting that I had the 16" "WRC" model, whereas your unit will be 15" tires so it would be the "C- Lines")

Even though Conti still makes the 16" they are hard to find, and I wanted a more aggressive wet weather tread pattern than the Conti Vancos, which is why I chose the Nokians. They had a bit of a high pitched hum, but not to a bothersome level. You can search for hundreds more opinions on that RIalta-tech site (groups.io). Some like the Maxxis, other Nokians, and many have had difficulties with all brands, probably due to the Rialta being at high end of weight range, and therefore tires being even more intolerant of incorrect pressures. When you do buy, be sure to check the manufacture date so you don't get tires that were made a few years ago.

By the way, I would recommend going with the rear size on all four wheels. The slightly wider fronts add a bit of security.

I've got a 97 and went with the 215/70-15 all around. I had the 195's on the front and replaced those with the Maxxis ue168 215/70-15 tires. Great ride and quiet as well. A very good price also. Quite a few people are running them on the Rialta now.

Bought Maxxis online Walmart and took them to Walmart Auto to install

Great Price and smooth ride

With thousands of stores the warranty would be easy to enforce
