Default Tank Status Display Panel Problem

Our 2002 Rialta HD tank status display does not work: the small buttons that display tank and battery status display no status indicator lights when pressed. The switches for the generator and shower pump do work.

We contacted a Winnebago sales and repair facility here in South Carolina: the unit is no longer manufactured. Replacement would require "replacing our tanks."

Are there replacements that any owners know of for this electronic unit, or its circuit board?

Best regards,

Bill & Paulette Blask

Winniebagoparts.com told me they did not have the monitor panel for an '01.

Let us know if they have one for you.

Gene,

They responded in the negative, suggesting I look for aftermarket substitutes. I'll post something if I am successful. It was worth a try!

I also have a 2002 HD.

Here is the info I got from Ventline the manufacurer of the monitor panel:

"The LA1023-00 monitor panel is no longer available as we can’t get the circuit

board anymore (another supplier that went under because of the economy in

early 2009). I am suggesting that customers use the LA1046-00 panel – it’s

bigger so that may be a problem if the coach has cabinetry in the area.

Unfortunately this isn’t a plug and play – wires will have to be connected

individually. There will be some extra wires that will be left loose (the LA1046 has

a water heater switch while the LA1023 does not). The generator switch and

wires from the LA1023 panel will need to be removed and installed into the

LA1046. There is no indicator light for the generator on the new panel so that will

be another wire that is not connected.

Our engineering manager said most of the wires are color coded the same but

you might still want to label them with the pin location number prior to snipping off

any connector. The labels may help when comparing to the drawings.

LA1046-00 MPW,2T,FW,B,LP,WH,WP $105.63

You may order directly from us by calling (574) 848-4491 x215 (Heidi) or x213 (Marty) or x234 (Jill). They’ll be able to assist you with freight charges, etc.

Sincerely,

What most Rialta owners do is look under the rear passenger seat to see how much water is in the tank. The black water tank we just look down the open toilet with a light to see how much space is left before full. The gray water tank can be looked at if the bottom drawer is removed but when the sink will not drain or fills up you are full. Time to dump when you see the tank is full.

Hello All,

I know this post is a little old but I have the unfortunate task of letting you know that Richard aka Sie (posted above) has passed away. Please do not contact that e-mail for advice.

I have taken apart my panel and if my repairs works, I will post pictures and a quick "how-to" that may help otheres out.

Again, our best goes to Richard's family.

Respectfully,

Sam
