Default Hitch mounted cargo box

I'm interested in acquiring a hitch mounted cargo box for my PW Pursuit. Anyone out there have any recommendations / stories good or bad to help in my decision making.
Cheers.

Stowaway2. Really nice and if you have a spare tire on rear, they have hitch extension. Also, it swings away.

If you also want to carry bikes check out Cargo boxes and bike accessories :: Nicova - Safe Hitch | Hitch Carriers Cargo

Expensive but I don't know of any others that do both (except DIY).

Hi Marco; Thank you for your reply. Another one for me to look at. Better to have choices I guess. Cheers

I'm curious if there is any problem with a hitch mounted cargo box blocking visibility to the license plate. I know there is a plate holder for the StowAway2 product, though if you didn't leave the box on all the time, you might need to move the plate back and forth. Curious if anyone can comment on this aspect of a cargo box?

Yes, the license plate would have to be moved back and forth on the Stowaway2.

Some places will also get you if it is not illuminated on the box. They may also take issue with blocked tailights and insist that they can be seen from all angles, from both sides, from the rear. I think Roadtrek got busted on that one when they had the rear continental spare on Sprinters. They added an extra light to the tire carrier.

Any thoughts on a quick way to transfer the license plate back and forth? I envision using a cargo box for some uses of the camper but not others, depending on where we are going and what gear we want when we get there.

Not sure if magnetic attachment or thumb screws are a good idea, for example.

Why? You can get magnets that you would find difficult to pry away.

Curious if anyone has done this (used magnets to allow shifting the plate to/from the StowAway2) and if so, what magnet setup they used.

Cheers.
I have a Gearspace 34 which fits on my 2 inch hitch receiver, has wiring, led lights and has fold down 'landing gear' to roll it off the hitch without picking it up. It might be too big for your Pursuit(good rig btw). My PW Plateau TS is fine with it. Sure carries a lot of stuff. There are smaller units and they are usually waterproof which I like. Good luck
