Default New hub covers

A bit of bling for the van

The old hub covers had some cracks and missing pieces where they attach to the lug nuts probably due to over tightening and / or wheel flex.

I found Genuine GM 15634852 replacement covers on eBay in chrome not black and decided to get them for the van.

At the same time I ordered some emblem inserts from 3dcarstickers.com
I specified 89mm as the size. I'm waiting for the emblems to arrive.

Nice looking-we also switched to chrome when we changed wheels.

We also got cracking on our last trip, and by the time we got home all 4 covers were rattling like crazy because they had come loose. I think it may be related to the very hot brakes we go in the mountains.

I like yours because they have 8 feet to contact the wheel, ours only have 4, so the flex a lot, probably making it worse. I wonder if ones like yours would fit ours. I have been experimenting with springs and rubber to replace the feet with something more compliant, but not gotten very far.

We also got chrome nut covers for ours, which also look really nice, from ebay.

The chrome lug nut covers would look nice. I re-used the black ones. I'll wait until the new GMC emblem inserts are in place to see if the mix of the mostly black emblem insert and black lug nut covers makes it all blend nicely.

If you want any measurements from my mine just let me know.

The wheel emblem inserts arrived today.

They'll do the job. Maybe 1/16th inch thick clear vinyl coating. They're not exactly like the originals but I think they're a really good deal for the price.

It will be interesting to see how they look with the black centers and lugnut covers.

Our chrome hub covers came with shiny centers (Chevy) on them, with black nut covers. They looked only OK once we got them on, as the black looked out of place with everything else "chromey". That was when we managed to find the chrome nut covers.

With the black centers, yours may look very nice with the black covers.

I put the emblem inserts on today and I think the black centers help make it look good with the black lug nut covers.

I totally agree, and the smoother lines of the cover are really nice, too.
