Mystery dash controle

I have a 2013 Sprinter RT Agile and there is a dashboard controle that I cant figure out what it does. I have attached a picture here in hopes that someone can enlighten me

That's not a control. It is a paper holder. A clip. Push in the top half, insert paper. It is useful for things like holding toll-way tickets so you don't misplace them.

Its no wonder I couldn't get it to unlock the doors. Thanks for the help
