Thanks for the info. Is Roadtrek stopping production with the Chevy Express in the next few years? Are they coming out with a Transit version? If so, are there any details? Thanks again

The 170 has already been cancelled. The others depend on Chevy availability which has become an issue.

EHGNA's new Transit will be debuted at the big Florida RV show next week.

Default Roadtrek Haven?!

So its day two of the Tampa show, Roadtrek has a press release about the Haven, but I can't find nor have I seen anything about it on the web. Anybody, anybody? (insert cricket noise here)

Disappointing. Could it have anything to due with the Thor buyout shaking up Roadtrek's plans?

The problem with that theory is that the only company with lower initial build quality standards than RT is Thor.

Thanks, warpig!

I certainly disagree with their decision to go with old-school class "c" stripes. But I'm pretty sure they will offer a delete option for that.

Default Dodge Roadtrek Drivers Side Storage Door

Does anyone know if there is any difference in size for the fiberglass drivers side storage compartment door between a 1999 Dodge Roadtrek 190 vs. 170 (or any model year around this time). The 190 Dodge itself is longer and wider than the 170, but it looks to me that the storage compartment is the same, with a door length of about 56 1/4". Does anyone know offhand, or have a 190 they can measure? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum RY-NY!

You might try contacting this company that recently acquired parts and molds for some of older roadtrek models. Unfortunately it seems they got Chevy parts, but worth an inquiry.

Since we haven't heard from any Dodge owners to this point, I will make a guess that on the Dodges the side pods would be the same, as the long and short vans had the same wheelbase AFAIK because the extra length was just a (visible) section welded on the back of the van by Dodge. The Chevies would be different than each other because they have different wheelbases.

You may want to look at ebay listings and sold Dodge Roadtreks to see the pix to compare the ones in question. You could also use RVtrader or any of the other for sale sites similarly.

Even looking at the old brochures that are on the Roadtrek site, might show good pix of the side in question.

Default Dodge Roadtrek Drivers Side Storage Door

Many thanks for the welcome! And thanks for that link -- I will follow up with them, it looks like they have some Dodge parts as well. I wonder if another company acquired the molds for the Dodge models. I hope so!

As far as the wheelbase of the long and short Dodge vans, that is very helpful information, thanks! It certainly looks from pictures that I have seen that this is the case, so I do think that the storage area is the same. Hopefully, a Dodge 190 owner can measure and confirm!

Looks like I'm a couple months late, but just in case you're still looking for an answer...

I've got a 1999 RT Versatile 190 on the Dodge chassis. I measured that for tonight as 56". The opening is probably 56-1/4", allowing for 1/8" clearance on either end.

Hi Ron,

probably late, but you are likely looking at the twine and grease method to remove the window glass from the seal

JDBrown - A bit late, but appreciated anyway. Thanks! And yes, I did find out that the size of the storage door is the same for the Dodge 190 and 170, about 56 1/4" as you said. I just finished the job of replacing the door and describe it here: https://www.classbforum.com/forums/f...tml#post111344
