Default Roadtrek Pin Striping

I recently purchased a 1999 Roadtrek 190 Versatile. It had lots of decals on the back, I have successfully remove all the decals and the glue, looks pretty good.
However, I happened to destroy the pin stripe on the back door. Any body know where I can source those pin strip tape?

No idea but how did you remove the original decals?

Somewhere on this forum is a thread re someone who removed decals and had a custom shop reproduce the originals. You might try a forum search for that.

For 90% of them I used a hairdryer to peel off the top surface, the brake cleaner to soften up the adhesive, then paint thinner to cleanup the gunk, then some times laquor thinner to get the deep stain off. The other 5% I used a metal scrapper ground to a very sharp edge to remove the top, being extremely careful not to dig into the paint, then proceeded as above to remove the adhesive.
I missed in a few spots and I did produce a nick in the paint, which I covered up with a paint stick (PW6).

I had some decals over top of the pin stripe, the kind I had to use the scraper to remove. To get them off I had to remove the pin stripe as well.
Good luck

I did try a forum search, before posting this thread. I'll try again, any suggestions as to search words?

Here are a few:

Good luck. My PW is a 1997 and some of the decals are faded. I worry about what I'll find under the old decal and whether or not a "ghost" image of the decal has been imprinted on the paint surface.

Hello. Have worked in body shops my whole life.
Much easier today than just a few years ago.
Call any of your local sign makers. Most of them can come out and duplicate anything you need? Most install them for free.... because they do not want you to mess them up!
Not all that crazy expensive, if the colors r are common colors.
Hope that helps?

I have a 1995 Class B Xplorer 230. My pin striping and decals were badly worn. I used several brand named Whizzy Wheels to cleanly remove. Tried an eracer wheel from body shop. It damaged the paint. So started using other without problems. Order several as they wear down quickly. Used Goo Gone to removed any left over adhesive. I do have ghost lines from pin and decals. But looks much better without.
