Default 12 volt Power for 55w Backup Lights

I want to add a pair of 55w backup lights to my 2006 Chevrolet Express van (Roadtrek 210P). It has a 4-prong trailer plug on the vehicle, but I am wondering if it has the wiring already run for a 7-prong plug. If so, I can power the lights from the 12 volt plug power and trigger with a relay off the van backup lights.

I think I have found an answer. Trailer wiring is an option on GM vans, in the trailer tow package I guess. There are fuse slots in the fuse box for trailer wiring. My van does not have any fuses in those slots. So I think it is safe to assume my van does not have the wiring in it.

I have a to-be-installed aftermarket trailer plug. From what I remember, it just taps into the wiring harnesses on each side of the van in the rear pillars. You disconnect the wiring plugs and insert the trailer plug wiring on each side then reconnect the van wiring. No cutting wires. It is called a "T connector". Installation file for my van: https://www.curtmfg.com/masterlibrary/5 ... 35_INS.PDF

It might give you some ideas for your project.
