Default Front receiver - CHECK

A while back, I asked about installing a front receiver on our 1999 American Cruiser (Dodge Ram Maxi 3500 HD chassis). I mentioned wanted one to a friend last weekend who made and installed a front receiver for $40 in materials. It held 2 guys weighting about 420 pounds total, so I am sure it will carry our campfire chairs or even our Honda EU2000i.

Very nice. I want a front receiver as well in both my van and truck but as of yet have not done anything about it.

That is a cool idea. I just wonder how it would affect engine cooling, especially in hotter weather and/or heavy traffic where the wind isn't going through the radiator.

It also is a good idea for positioning a trailer more accurately than backing up.

The radiator sits pretty far back and I do have 4 1/2" - 5" from the bumper to the hitch hauler. I think as long as I don't do a Jed Clampett and cover it all with tarps, I will be ok. If I haul my Honda EU2000i and marine tank on the front, there will be plenty of air flow.
