Default replaced 78 amp hour battery with 232 amp hour battery

Pulled out the barely working 78 amp hour battery out of it's hole and put 2 232 amp hour 6 volt Econopower batteries equalling a 232 amp hour 12 volt. I set them on the floor over the old compartment so the is plenty of ventilation. I temporarily covered the batteries with a plastic storage tub to keep vapors out of the coach. I will install a cabinet there when I find one. I like the new rig but it will be a while til it's perfect. The coach is a 96 Coachmen Saratoga. Wife loves it. I'm sure I will too.

3 x the power! Getting everything the way you want it will take some time. Then you sell the rig and start all over again - just kidding

I always got the impression that you really liked your other B van from your video posts. Do you think you'll sell it or keep it?

I love the Sportsmobile poptop but wifes arthritis is getting worse. She can't climb to the top bed and lower couch bed is ok for kids but not good for her. Last little getaway we took in it she was wincing a lot but never complained. I saw this one on Craig's list the day we got back and went and bought it a couple days later as an anniversary present. She was a little P.O.ed at first but fell in love with it pretty quick. The first little overnight we did in it sealed the deal when she woke up feeling good instead of all stiff.

I would also add that sleeping in the penthouse is awesome. I haven't been into tent camping or treeforts since I was a kid but the penthouse satisfied both counts.

That's a big increase, you must have had a lot of extra room. I plan on doubling mine some day before I head out on a several week trek.
I heard the penthouse is comfortable but never knew how hard it is to get into. But then I prefer something that is more stealth and can possibly keep on sleeping even if the other half gets up early and wants to drive

Poptops are not stealthy but she can sleep on the lower bed as I drive. She prefers sitting up front and sleeping in her chair. My wife is blessed with the ability to sleep anywhere, any time.
