Default Side door screen - Walmart solution

Making my regular pilgrimage to the "State Store" today, I stumbled across a $12 solution to the problem of some kind of screen on the side doors to keep bugs out but let cool in (for those of you who live where there is any cool left these days).

On the hardware aisle (Super Center -- well, ours anyway) along with the replacement screen and insulation materials, they have what is tailored to be a screen door for doors. It is black nylon screen with sewen edges and a pocket at the top and a black adjustable cross bar that will go as wide as 36 inches. The length was 81 inches, but easily rolled around the top bar to be what ever shorter size you want. And it works perfectly to make a screen for my side door without any need for any other work than installing when settled in at your favorite site.

My kind of project.

I'll be having a look see, too, next trip to "the Shrine".
Sounds easier than the bulky, velcro laden ones we have now,
that we rarely use anyway, because they're bulky and velcro laden.

Just what I was looking for! Just found this forum; we are owners of a 1989 Xplorer Dodge Ram. Love it immensely but it can get hot during about two weeks in summer in Canada... Any solution for the driver ancd passenger windows except for a custom fit?

I love my Dodge Ram XPLORER also! You could maybe buy some screen and velcro around the frame of the windows. I am lucky that my side doors are custom screened upon buying it. Are yours?
