Re: Sewer Solutions

The Sewer Solution is a great idea but not always workable. Last year I was next to a travel trailer at the dump station. He couldn't figure out how to dump because he needed a source of fresh water...

Re: Difficulty getting propane fridge to light

Ron and ClassBee,
Although I mostly use the propane to run the frig when parked and use the 12 volt setting when traveling I've had occasion to use the propane setting when underway a few times. In...

Re: Difficulty getting propane fridge to light

When firing up the frig on propane i always start the stove first to make sure propane is in the lines. Then I set the frig to propane and hold the start button down for a count of 5 and press the...

Re: Replacing the DVD player in 2007 PW Plateau

We replaced the Samsung with an inexpensive TV so we could receive local, digital TV signals. The Samsung was great but was analog only. You could consider a combination TV and DVD in one. Rewiring...

Re: Grey Tank Question

I fill the gray and black tanks to the brim with fresh water before dumping in order to flush them out. I've found both tanks will hold quite a bit of water after the full light comes on. For the...

Re: Sani Con Question

Our RT came with the installation shown in marcopolo's post. Works pretty well but I don't know if it's better than the "boxed" version. Knowing my rig I don't see how you would install the boxed...

Re: TV antenna

We replaced the original Samsung, analog TV with an inexpensive, 19" digital from Best Buy. Our nearest TV station is about 15 miles away. The new TV picks up their digital signal and gives a good...

Re: Nervous Newbie preparing to buy a used Class B

Class B's are expensive because they have everything a Class A has in a smaller space. Think of it as building a model ship: it's one thing to build the model and quite another to build it in a...

Re: RV Dump/Septic System

I'm lucky to have two, free dump stations within eight miles of my home so I haven't had any problems dumping or flushing the tanks. I'd suggest you consider a portable macerator pump like this:

Re: Internet TV on my laptop. Anyone got a good "How To"????

Internet TV works fine at home if you have unlimited service; however, most campgrounds I've visited have a limit on the bytes you can download over their wifi connection. If you use your cell phone...

Re: roadtrek cable connection

Dish doesn't care where you get the antenna and receiver since they supply only the signal. The downside of this arrangement is there are no packages where you get antenna, receiver and a year of...

Re: roadtrek cable connection

Look at www.dishformyrv.com (https://www.dishformyrv.com). Dish network offers a pay-as-you-go system. You pay for a month at a time but if you don't use it all, you pause the service and can use the...

Re: Aux Battery ? Newbie

I doubt you'll be able to run either successfully on the battery; just not enough power. The refrig will run on 12 volts for a short while but will deplete the battery quickly unless the engine...

Re: Removing side panels, 87 Roadtrek, wind noise & Led's

On my 2004 the panels appear to be held on by screws capped with an upholstered cap. I believe I could pop the caps off and remove the screws to remove the panel.

Re: house batteries not charging completely from vehicle battery

Ron,
Yes, I've done this accidently a couple of times. Even though the TV is off, the 12 volt to 110 volt to 12 volt conversion draws some power and I think that was part of the problem....

Re: house batteries not charging completely from vehicle battery

I wonder if this has something to do with the battery switch. I've seen conflicting advice regarding whether this switch has to be on or off to supply charging current to the batteries when driving....

Re: house batteries not charging completely from vehicle battery

I have a similar problem with my 04C190P RT. It seems I get a fairly good charge from the shore power or generator but will discharge to almost nothing when driving. This seems to be a new problem...
