Re: Do you drive with your fridge on propane?

Mine doesn't have a propane input. Only AC or DC. It's an Engel. And I love it! Backs up swell as a freezer too as needed. One-hundred-ninety watts of solar power to a deep cycle Walmart battery will...

Re: Best milesge

It takes me longer to answer a post now that I'm past 80, Mike. That's Years US. But, to answer, Lucas is an additive my GM garage suggested and now uses any time I'm going on extended drives between...

Re: SOLAR Flexible Roof Panel 124 watt UniSolar

I agree with Mike (as I usually do). It takes 2 by 4 solid feet of monocrystal panels to make up 90 watts for me. I have two which keep the Engel 'fridge happy 24/7 and also allow a little 120 volt...

Re: roadtrek cable connection

It can be a blessing to get away from the TV too. I just use my computer and the great little device and program called WinTV to get news or something special if necessary. It comes with a little...

Re: Speed

So many factors enter in to mileage, Mike. Speed is one. Style of driving another important one (smoothly and with anticipation ahead of throttle changes), grade, altitude, wind, tire pressure,...

Re: New Mexico, 7500' plus elevations

You make me love my 16 year old GMC van with its injection gasoline engine all the more. The higher I get it, the better its mileage becomes with no observable change in power. On a trip to New...

Re: house batteries not charging completely from vehicle battery

A slow cooker powered from an Inverter and batteries is going to draw an awful lot more current than you suspect. Roughly 10 times that of a 120 volt one on 120 volts.

Re: Fire from overfilled propane tank, need advice.

Sounds like too many things you don't have experince with and that could be safety issues. I'd pay for having it done right and chalk it up to learning what to watch for next time.

Re: Walmart "Site to Store" online shopping

Mike, I track the site-to-store shipment via their web site (I make a lot of late 'cause of price) and have found them accurate 100 pecent on arrival date. Have you tried that? Also, if you have the...

I lost my first draft of this. I hope this doesn't duplicate it.

Mike, the population of humans would increase regardless of medical technology's advancement just because we have this bigger brain...

Re: Selling the C - mixed emotions

Priced appropriately, I think. I bought a similarly used Class C many years back for almost that amount. It was a Fleetwood 29 footer. Problem is likely going to be finding folks who can get...

Best mileage

Fuel economy is a matter of chemistry, physics and, most ammendable, skill. Work as hard on situational awareness, route, efficient trips (most stops per usage), mountain and curve driving and smooth...

Photog, you guys who wear long skirts don't have the problems us "more exposed" vanners do. My 44-gallon US tank sticks out there invitingly. But, the van is generally not far from where I am when...

Re: new to this

One thousand watts is too close in output to your various power draws. I believe you'd need at least the eu2000i (which I've had for almost 10 years and it runs flawlessly as well as quietly). New...
