Yep, and even if the screen did show the fault, you might miss it if you just had the battery unhooked to clean terminals or do a bit of wiring.

I totally agree. I think the most likely time for it to happen would be like I did it. Over the winter you need to put in an accessory or clean the battery terminals so you disconnect the battery...
