This idea wound up being a no go. Clearance...

This idea wound up being a no go. Clearance issues above the door hinge. I was able to mount a well nut on each end of the hinge and it helped a bunch on the install.

Well nuts were a modified nogo. I did use on on each end to temporarily hold up the hinge/door assembly which helped a bunch as far as holding things in place for drilling new rivet holes.

Thanks James for the input. Let me clarify. I plan on using the rubber wellnuts in the body part and locknuts on the door. The rubber ones expand quite a bit iff'n I get the right length.
