If you wanted, I'm sure you could rig up a 12v winch like that for very little $$ - probably get one at Harbor Freight for $100 or so!

I bought one and rigged it up for lifting carboys and beer...

I don't understand how these things work - often - including right now - diesel is cheaper in Canada than gas! Not always though.
