You should be able to run the dehumidifier on the AC outlets. Then, when you go out to fire-up the fridge, just switch on the battery power and the fridge. This is assuming your electrical system...

If your batter charger is working properly, it shouldn't hurt the batteries. Or, you could leave the batter switch turned off, and just use the AC outlets for power.
