I do like the idea of improving the alternator...

I do like the idea of improving the alternator output with some smarts. How about an "economy" mode. Lets back off the alternator output when we are stepping on the gas....

You probably don't need a second compressor. The normal van "RearAC" uses taps off of the factory engine compressor.
