Re: Advancing Alvar
I wonder how long it will be before campgrounds will have to also restrict excessive engine idling, for the same reasons that they ban excessive generator use?
You should have no problem with most...

Re: Advancing Alvar
I think my preference for on board, off grid, power systems has always been maximum redundancy. Some power sources are just better suited to different applications in an RV. With something else there...

Re: Advancing Alvar
An induction cook top? Interesting choice. I was under the impression that they were fairly power hungry. I guess if you aren't planning on using much A/C the cooktop will be the beneficiary of any...

Re: Advancing Alvar
As usual, government "good will" decrees to fix one thing, have unintended negative consequences for other things. It's part of the cause and effect cycle of big government. Keeps the bureaucrats...

Re: Advancing Alvar
The chassis is warranted by MB, and they have recommended limits for things that might fail if exceeded. They set the rules based on their engineering experience and field testing, I would think.
If...

Re: Advancing Alvar
I would think accidentally or otherwise, if the EGR is clogged, the first thing MB would do is check the service records, and the OBD computer for data that might indicate the cause. Big brother...

Advanced-RV has only been in existence since 2012, according to their website. I'll take their word.
Roadtrek formally announced the RS E-Trek, and that they were taking orders for them, on...

Re: Advancing Alvar
Good luck with it, then. You've obviously thought this one out, and have a plan and a lot of confidence. That has to count in your favor. 120,000 miles of experience should help in the planning and...
