Default Fresh water tank drain, GWV sprinter

How do you drain the fresh water tank on the Great West Van Legend on a Sprinter 3500? I want to sanitize the water system but I can find a way to drain the tank. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know about a Sprinter, but I had to install a drain spout on my fresh water tank. I thought it was crazy that it did not have one pre-installed.

On ours (2013 GW Legend SE), the water tank in on the right when facing forward (on the passenger side, to say it differently). It is under the rig, and the drain plug in the front outside corner IIRC. It is kindof molded right into the tank.

Hope that helps.

On our RT Sprinter 3500 the drain is in the passenger side front wheel well like Rok noted. I'm sure it's the same on most Sprinter B units. Polk City, FL?

I'll have to go check mine. A brain fart is giving me a lapse but I think it is a wrench out plug drain on the bottom of the tank. Funny I can remember my previous Pleasure-way better. It had a standard drain cock you can buy at most any fully stocked RV store coming off the back side of the tank. Maybe that is because I had to replace it once. Not all Sprinters are the same because the fresh water tank is a custom piece installed by the Class B RV converter.

Doesn't the plumbing system have a low-point drain somewhere? I would think you could use that to empty the whole system, although you may have to turn on the water pump.

If the Great West Van Legend has a low point drain I haven't found it and there is nothing in their manual to indicate it. I know my old Pleasure-way Plateau Sprinter had two drain cocks at presumably the low points to drain the lines.

Thanks Rocky! My tank is on the drivers side or left side. I will look for a plug in the front outside corner.

Yes I am in Polk City FL. My tanks are on the driver side or the left side. Seems every one is different. I also looked in the owners manual to no avail.

I hate to think this mystery might entail a trip under the Sprinter for a look see. From Bartow here. Travel through Polk City on 33 frequently to various state parks north and east. Sorry to see Fantasy of Flight close. Visited there often. Enjoyed the daily flights of Kermit's aircraft. Good luck finding a drain. I'm sure one exists.

If you open the compartment by the drivers side. You can see the war
Ter tank under the sprinter. Reach to the bottom right corner at the end of the white tank. The plug is there.

My issue: our plug is missing. Why? How? No clue. Does anyone know where I can get a plug that fits????????

Very likely Home Depot will have the plug, at least if it is like mine.

BTW, now that I have my Legend: the outside shower fixture appears to also serve as the low-point drain, at least on our rig.

Here's what our 2014 looks like.

I assume you want the black threaded plug that I circled. The plug might also be directly in the tank--same thing.
It looks like it is probably 3/4" MPT, but that is just a guess. Something like this:
