Default '04 Pleasureway Plateau - coach battery replacement

Has anyone yet replaced the coach battery on a Plateau? Ours has bit the dust and we're looking for a replacement. The Varta battery that was original to the unit can only be purchased in Europe. We're having a hard time finding a deep cycle replacement that will fit in the tiny space allocated.

The PW tech staff (Phil) has been looking for battery replacement info for us without any luck. Has anyone else found a suitable replacement battery in the USA?

Google Deka 9AGM49

It's an AGM battery. There was a post on RV net about it being a perfect fit - I just can't find that post.

We found a battery today and ordered it online. This is the one:

Thanks to Davydd for the info!

Here is all the agony I went through in researching, learning, replacing and maintaining my house battery for under the passenger seat of a Sprinter.

So far I am very pleased with the results and it has negated my desire for a second house battery somewhat. If you have a ProgressiveDynamics 9100 series converter it is important that you buy their Charge Wizard to intelligently mind your battery charging. The 9200 series has the Charge Wizard built in. That information is in that thread as well.

Thank you for your hard work and research! Thanks to your recommendation we avoided alot of that hassle. We got our battery last weeked installed it right away. I used it last week while "camping" at my son's house while babysitting. I never once had to plug in to charge it up. It lasted the whole week, running the lights, water pump and fan. Oh and the TV on Wednesday night so I could track those monster thunderstorms!
