Red face Need Roadtrek waste hose retaining hinge or mod?

Hello!

I am a new owner of a 1994 Roadtrek 190 Versatile and new to this site so HI!
Anyone know where I could track down a waste hose retaining hinge? Im talking about the metal hinged bit that keeps the sewer hose in the integrated tube that is under the rv.

Or any modification ideas? The original part is rusted and broken. Currently I have an extra hose clamp to hold every thing in place but its cumbersome to get the hose out...

I believe that this is the part for some model years around 1999, though I do not know about 1994:

Go to a home improvement or farm store and find a suitable gate hinge and make your own, if you can't find one. A bit of work but quite doable.

Welcome to the forum!

As Steve suggests, on these older motorhomes, you have to get creative sometimes.

Default hinge

I think that, when it came time for a replacement hinge for our '98 200V, I bought a stainless steel strap hinge from McMaster-Carr, whittled it down & wala !......prolly 10 years ago......

OK, found the answer on youtube. I need the hose cap. Ours just has a plug with a wing nut to expand it inside the hose. Now I know what to look for

Default waste hose

that cap (the original one) has a little "nubby" & a rubber strap like thing that attaches it to the waste bracket....when you turn the cap on to lock the hinge in place, the rubber strap remains in place....also too....you need'nt remove the "spider" from the waste hose.....everything will come out that 1/2" pipe nipple that the cap screws onto......uuhhmmm....maybe....ymmv....lol
