You may want to check with Mobilife RV Centre in Kitchener. Their online “carrier” inventory does not have the Continental kit; however, there is spare tire carrier “S/O 14713” that may be an option. FYI ... we have driven from Ottawa to Kitchener on several occasions over the last 10 years to have them service our 2012 RT Ranger.

Thanks Sensfan. I have considered the Roadmaster carrier you suggested. It's supposed to be solidly built and easy to raise and lower. However, for now I will keep looking for a Roadtrek one because I like the way the tire mounts on the forward side of the carrier (tucked right up close to the rear door) so it adds as little as possible to the length of the van.

LOL, Removed mine. For my needs it was useless. On grid and not planning on jacking up 9200+ pounds to put on a 10 year old spare...all JMO

Yep. I hear you. My camper is actually quite a bit lighter than that (its not a Roadtrek). Regardless, my thinking was to bring the spare with me if I'm headed anywhere slightly remote and otherwise leave it in the garage.

I would love to leave my spare at home too but what would a roadside assistance do in that instance? Do they carry these size tires?

what would they do ?

cost out a flatbed tow truck, or really look at the fine print benefits of a RV roadside program

that's why I carry a spare and a jack in addition to roadside.

I pass "jack-offs" all the time on the side of the highway with a cell phone instead of a wrench.
That's what I call people who travel without a spare or a can of fix a flat.
They took their jack off

Why do I get a weird analogy with a reply? Oh the perils of chatting with unknowns...

Tires and the eight bolt rims for Chevrolet vans are a common size being used on lots of GM trucks. As for roadside assistance, reading the fine print is a good idea. They would have to flatbed you to a shop to have the tire replaced.

a tire with correct load range may not be readily available, and if so, possible mismatched radials

chev makes alot of 8 hole wheels, not all have the correct backspacing
