Default Motorhome parking for urban tourists

When I'm visiting a new city, I spend too much time hunting for parking spaces that can accommodate my 23-foot Class B. I'm not talking about overnight camping/boondocking -- I just want to park within walking distance of urban attractions, sporting events, concerts, restaurants, etc. If you are also looking for options like that, check out my blog post on a crowdsourced map to share city parking locations:

Thank You-
Also historically Ballys Casino in Vegas has allowed parking lot camping in the lot EAST of the building- enter off of Flamingo South of LV Blvd. just past the food court and sports book entrance

A look at Google maps will show the RV's lined up at this site.

The MGM group of Casinos is instituting parking charges- Bally's is owned by Caesars- who may follow suit- or not

Thanks, Mike -- I've just added this pin to the map!

Don't be so quick on the Las Vegas Strip. I've boondocked parked overnight two years in a row now in the surface lot behind Excalibur but as of this month they have gated it off and are charging to park. That is almost Strip wide I believe. Whether you can overnight is yet to be found out. Circus Circus on the Strip does have a for pay RV park.

In NYC, a great parking resource is the FDR Freeway along the East River. It is an elevated highway with numerous spacious pay lots underneath in various places. For example, drive east on E 20th Street until you come to the river:

Davydd, I was encouraged about the Bally's suggestion when I saw a couple of RVs in the Google Street View of this location . . . but of course I have no idea when this photo was taken. Perhaps it's still OK to park there, but not camp overnight? I'll leave it on the map since this is a resource focused on urban parking rather than overnight or free camping.

Thanks, avanti -- didn't know about this and my daughter lived right next to it in Stuy Town! I've added a pin (along with your directions and photo) to the map.

That is why I specified Ballys- a Caesar's entertainment property.

as above, Caesars has not yet imposed a parking fee
