Default Oregon Coast - any suggestions?

I'm looking for suggestions / recommendations for campgrounds and interesting places to see on the Oregon Coast.

Beaches, restaurants (seafood ), activities etc....... Any / all tips will be welcomed.

All of it!

The OR coast is awesome! Be sure you save a couple of days to also head into Northern California to visit the Redwoods.

We particularly like Bandon Oregon, there are some nice beaches with a lot of tide pools. Look for a restaurant called The 3 Gables, right on the ocean. The owner is a real doll, her name is Mary Yee. She is the owner, hostess, waitress and cook!

There is a nice campground in Southern OR called Cape Blanco State park. It's got a lot of amenities and an awesome view.

Port Ordford is a neat town. As you head into town on 101 look for the arrows painted on the road that point to something called "Scenic view" or something like that - it goes to a neat little harbor overlook.

Plan several days to make the drive up (or down) the coast. There are many, many State Parks and scenic overlooks. Every one of them is worth stopping.

Oregon has some of the nicest state parks in the country!

Thanks for the info Julie. If I go I'll probably go see all three.

Cape Blanco State Park looks really good in Google Earth.

Hi Marco

I'll have to see if Chino can get our image server up and running. We have hundreds of photos of that area. It take a long time to drive the coast because there are so many pull outs and scenic vista points. Might as well take your time and see them all if you can. There are lots of places to camp as well. You won't be disappointed!
