Fixing this broken URL just in case anyone searches out this information (as I just did for a poster on another forum). New link for the source given above:

Hi there,

I asked at the local Walmart in Dartmouth Crossing and I was told that - that particular Walmart didn't mind as long as you did some shopping in their store. I stayed there off and on (also I stayed at my work parking lot) for work in the Dartmouth area between October and December of 2019 with my camper van.

What?! This thread has been very much OBE (overcome by events), at least for those outside the province.

Nova Scotia currently has one of the strictest pandemic lockdowns in the western world. Mandatory 2-week quarantine upon entering the province, and law enforcement will tail vehicles as they are coming in. As soon as they stop for something such as groceries, voila, at least a thousand dollar fine for violating quarantine.

If you cannot prove up your 2-week quarantine plan, they’ll create one for you (for instance, by forcing you into a hotel and forcing you to pay for it). Halifax or Dartmouth Walmart would not cut it in whole or in part.

I’m not exactly sure what they are doing to people INside the province, but there’s that whole bubble thing to deal with.

Offences under Quarantine Act could reach $1 million
