Default Is a fuse required?

Couldn't get an answer out of Renogy so I'm asking;

Do i need additional fuses, upstream and downstream on my Renogy MMPT 20A Rover controller or are they built in?

I'm just running one 100w panel and 2 x 105a/h lead acid batteries. #12 AWG for the controller to batteries and #10 AWG from panel to controller.

If so, what amperage should i go with?

thank you

I agree with ks@yvr. Especially the "Wiring Diagram High Power"

Fuses protect the wire. The device protects itself. So a fuse from solar panel to controller, fuse from controller to battery, based on the wire size.
