The Yamaha EF2800i cylinder sure looks identical:

Both the Yamaha EF2800i and EF3000iSE use a 171cc motor. Most probably the same.

I'm not saying that the Boliy PRO3600SI has a Yamaha motor in it. I'm just pointing out that the motors look the same to me.

Marco, you know the Chinese have become masters at copying other's designs to the minutest detail and selling that item at half the cost or less as any "western" company.

GM had a international lawsuit a couple years ago against a Chinese car company for copying a Korean model that GMDAT was making so closely that even the parts were interchangeable on the cars. GM lost the lawsuit because the Chinese government wouldn't abide by the international copyright laws.

Maybe this is the same case here with Yamaha???? Or maybe Yamaha owns part of this company and has designed your model or some, such idea????

My guess is that Boliy just purchases a ready made motor.

Yamaha may just purchase this motor also. There seems to be so many generators out there using a 5.5 hp, OHV, 171cc motor, Air Cooled, 4-Stroke motor.

Sort of makes sense that one or two factories produce it. I can't imagine a dozen factories tooling up to do it.

You're right, about them just buying the motor from an outside source. Although Yamaha is a giant engine builder in it's own right. They've probably set up a factory in China to build this and other small engines. Especially since I notice you mentioned in another thread that the oil specs call for Yamalube.

Looks like a nice unit!!
