Default Pure3 Energy Management System vs EcoTrek 400

This has probably been posted before:

https://www.lichtsinn.com/blog/pure3...r-ecotrek-400/

I found it interesting to see just how much better the specs and warranty on the Pure3 Energy Management System is.

8 year warranty vs 6 year
Full 30A AC at 120V vs 17A while on inverter
(3600W vs 2000W)
8,700 watt hours vs 4,800 watt hours battery capacity

The two offerings are very different so kind of like comparing apples and oranges but still it would be useful to know the price of each.

I'm guessing that an Ecotrek 400A with a 2000W inverter, an auxiliary alternator, 270W solar and voltstart would be around $15,000. I couldn't find the price of the 2000W inverter so I just guessed at it but it's buried in there somewhere.

If you think of function and capacity such as overnight air conditioning then a better comparison might be the $22,000 Ecotrek 800 package - maybe add $2000 for the inverter if it is 3000W. I don't what inverter they use though.

I used the description of the Pure3 found here for info: https://www.winnebagotravato.com/win...-travato-pure3

Someone else here might know what the Pure3 Energy Management System cost is.

The Roadtrek lithium setup is less expensive than the Xantrex and Pure3 (Volta)setups but the difficulty in quantifying this is that they all are part of packages that contain items unrelated to the electrical system with the exception of the RT Chevys which still permits choosing the specific options you wish. On a 210 Popular optioned with 800ah of lithiums, underhood generator, 3000 watt Powerstar inverter, 200 watts Solar and Voltstart, the total option cost is $17,210 MSRP which is less than the Xantrex and Volta systems..

However, it really is an apples to oranges comparison because the Xantrex and Pure3 Volta systems are significantly more advanced in their design than the Roadtrek system which by comparison has been available for around five years and the design is getting long in the tooth.

The warranty is more complex than what you indicate. The batteries are indeed covered for 8 years. However, the Volta alternator warranty technically is for one year and the inverter and DC-DC converter have three year warranties. But that said, I get the distinct impression from the Volta factory that they are anxious to go the extra mile for owner problems regardless of the warranty status.

Li3 system from Coachmen, on the Galleria and now CROSSFIT out does all of them, and is the absolute safest. Plus, 2nd alternator not mounted low, but rather higher than factory one. Plus Coachmen's new 20,000 BTU, 12V A/C, built in the USA is THE BEST. Dean ABQ, NM

Hi Dean,

What evidence is there that supports this:

"Li3 system from Coachmen, on the Galleria and now CROSSFIT out does all of them, and is the absolute safest."

And this:

"Plus, 2nd alternator not mounted low, but rather higher than factory one. Plus Coachmen's new 20,000 BTU, 12V A/C, built in the USA is THE BEST."

tks

Bud

"and now CROSSFIT"

Are you sure about Li3 availability on the CROSSFIT?
