Default Roadtrek Battery Disconnect Issue

My Roadtrek Agile battery Disconnect/connect switch will not stay on/lit. It clicks on, then the light fades away. If a coach light is on, it lights and then fades off. The coach batteries are charged and test at 6.8v each. Same scenario if connected to shore power or if generator is running. Switch seems to be good as the diverter clicks and then clunks off. Any advice? Possible bad solenoid? I will connect to AC power overnight to see if it is the issue. Thanks. Video of the issue is attached. http://youtu.be/xyNUBhR2Kgs

Welcome to the forum Boisejb!

This is a problem I'm not familiar with, nor do I have a Roadtrek. But I'm sure someone will be along with advice. Something this forum excels in.

Kudos for the helpful video of your problem. Great first post.

When you press the battery switch it triggers a bistable relay which takes one pulse to turn on and a second pulse to turn off. There is a mechanism in the relay that holds it in one position or the other, this piece is made of plastic. If the piece is broken the relay will act just as you describe. Before replacing the relay, check both fuses mounted on the side of the relay body. They are 5 amp. One fuse controls turn on and the other turn off.

Johnny, do they use a common automotive relay such as for horn or lights ( you know like you can get for $15 at autozone?)

It looks like a battery disconnect Intellitec relay but i am not certain. Had similar situation with one, contaminated copper contact caused it. I purchase a new one, cleaned old one for a spare. Blue sea battery disconnect uses silvered contacts; no corrosion contamination possible. https://sprinter-source.com/forums/i...42#post-495876
