Default Very novelist

Just got a 1989 Ford Econoline 250 (Intervec Falcon 190) Just started trying to track a few electrical issues. The cabin battery is not hooked up (not even sure if it is charged are good) the battery isolator under the hood is not hooked up and the controller was working find until yesterday. Just quit over night. Will admit I only have it hooked to a 20 amp breaker not a 30 amp as I should.

Since the controller has been working I think I need to resolve that issue first? How can I check to see if it is repairable are where do I go to replace it and is it a major undertaking? The controller and the fuse panel seem to be one unit but may not be only in same panel? Can anyone make heads are tails of what I'm asking/

The converter (controller?) doesn’t care if you have the van plugged into a 20amp or even 15 amp circuit, they are all 115v and that’s all that matters. You really only need 30 amps when running a roof air conditioner. I’d check the breakers on the converter but you really need someone with a multi-tester and electrical knowledge to measure the 115v into the converter and 12v out to the coach battery. I’d worry about that before dealing with the isolator which will charge the battery when the van’s running and at the same time keep the coach electrics from discharging the chassis battery. Best to have the two systems separate while you fix the coach side and shore power hookup.
