Unhappy Winnebago Safety Recall on auxiliary Solar Port

I just received an interim recall notice from Winnebago on my 2017 Trend with factory solar panel. The auxiliary solar charging port (on the side of the MH) does not have adequate overcurrent protection. If the circuit is overloaded, lack of protection may lead to an increase risk of fire. See the Winnebago site for models affected.

Sounds like a minor problem, so long as you don't have to travel far to have recall service performed.

I'm curious about your Trend. A fairly r.\, are model, but looks like it's packed with a lot of features in a very small "c" package. So far, what would say are your likes & dislikes? How is acceleration, ride quality, and stability in wind?

While on a Winnebago Outdoor adventure trip, we stayed at Lazy Days in Florida. While there we looked at 3 Trend models and 3 Fuse models and decided that the 2017 Trend model was the one we wanted. We upgraded from a Rialta for more room and the twin beds. It came with solar, 2 AGM batteries, ladder, running boards, dual pane windows, DLX PWR vent fan, and tankless water heater. Acceleration with the V6 is only slight from my V6 van, ride quality is great, and stability in wind is not a big deal to me for the size. Mileage is between 13.5 to 15 mpg and I tow a Smart Car. We have 23K and lots of trips, 2 to Canada.

It's a non issue if you don't use that side port, but still best to get it fixed at some point.
This involves all of the WGO class Bs and some of the C's with the Zamp solar system manufactured before late May 2018. Our Travato was built mid-May 2018 and is involved....
