Default What's it worth - 98 Leisure Travel freedom

I'm considering a 1998 Leisure Travel freedom, $26,500 - 76000 miles

Looking at the pictures, it looks pretty nice.
Sleeps 2 . All RV systems were checked and fixed as needed. Inflatable air shocks lines were repaired. Over $6000 on repairs and upgrades.

I've been looking at a lot of different class B's and I'm in that limbo search stage of "is it worth it?" and "what would I need to fix?"

I have always admired Leisure Travel products. I found this website listing several for sale including (I suspect) the one you are referencing in your post. Take a look and you will see several to compare.

The pictures may look fine, but there is a real process as I am sure you know to checking out an older rig. Folks on this forum can give you some good advice.

Good luck in your hunt for the perfect B for you. I would say in closing, be prepared to go a distance to see what appeals to you. Folks often go across the country to find the right rig, particularly if previously owned.

Jeez I dunno
my 2014 private party purchase of a 2006 PleasureWay Lexor 80,000 miles was way way under $40k

pricing was arrived at by me researching comparable RV's and looking at a bunch
it was down to the PW or a 28' chinook for low 40's

I made the right choice

suggest you really check out comps online using craigslist and other sites
( i see 2 in AZ, a 2000 @$30000 and a 2001 @$27,500

I'm not a dodge guy is 1998 the start of a new generation drivetrain, or the tail end of the old motor and EFI controls?

I have a 1999 with 67K on it that we can negotiate on. It is the wide body that sleeps 4. Mine is the 5.9L and has nearly new Toyo tires and new Refrigerator and new Bilstein shocks. Also has the 4 seats and 2 tables and the 2 seats in the middle convert to kid beds. Has a 2K inverter and dual house batteries. Has Onan but not starting. Let me know if interested. We took it to Florida last year. Runs and drives great.
