Default Door issues

Hello, everyone. Thank you for letting me be part of your forum. I have a 1996 Chevy Roadtrek Versatile that is new to me. Most everything works as intended, but the 40% side door is stuck or locked and I am unable to open it. I think I need to remove the platform for the rear passenger seat. Does anyone know how to do that with out destroying it? Is there another way to get the upolstery off the door? Thanks in advance.

I have a 1998 Popular. My secondary side door works, and it doesn’t touch the third bench in any way. I don’t think that’s the cause. There’s a black handle in the door jamb midway up. When I pull that lever it releases both the top and the bottom latches. That mechanism might be seized or broken. Unless your bench is somehow pressing so hard on the door that the latches won’t release… maybe look into that.
