Congrats, you will be having a great time in that RT. You can get by without the generator until you can get it fixed. On the frig, I would give it a couple of shots of WD40 and let it set up.

Our old B-vans are JUST as competent as a new one at $135k, and a WHOLE lot more simple to work on. Get out there and enjoy yourself!

On the genset... Cummins is THE sole source of parts for generators... you may find an independent mechanic to work on them... but the only place to get parts is Cummins. The Cummins shop in Cedar Rapids, IA has a $135/hr shop rate... I just had mine worked on in March to the tune of $1200... and that was with a $600 discount as they did work they didn't estimate for. BUT I use my generator regularly so the convenience is worth every dollar you invest.

Happy travels!

Welcome. I recently wrote about a stuck refrigerator selector switch on my rig. Maybe it will be helpful to you. I know it helped Grampy.
