Travatos are gas engined, not diesel. Your question is very difficult to answer because we don't know how you are planning on using the camper. Class B RV's are a comprise in features. You need to select those features that will work best for you. For example, we had originally chosen a new Travato as our Class B (we didn't want a Sprinter-based RV), but ended up buying a used Roadtrek 190P on the Chevy Express van chassis for its towing abilities. It was the only gas engined van that could tow the weight I had.

There are many Ram Promaster based Class Bs models out there from several manufacturers. You may want to go to an RV show and explore the many different Class B models. New(er) ones are based on the Promaster, Ford Transit, and Mercedes Sprinter vans. Sit in them and see how the fit and finish is compared to price.

In the ProMaster, both front seats revolve around for use, in the Transit, only the passenger seat revolves. Not sure about the MB.

That diesel engine is a orphan in NA, the closest relative is in the Mitsubishi Cantor Fuso trucks.

Once the powertrain warranty is up repairs to the powertrain are expensive.

IMO avoid the headache.

I also read the diesels automated manual transmission was neither smooth nor reliable.

Run, don't walk away from a Promaster diesel. As was said above, the engine is an orphan in North America, and the transmission is troublesome and VERY expensive to repair if needed. While nothing is wrong with the engine itself, It's a 500k mile engine easily, the stuff on the outside emissions wise is a mess.
Winnebago made a few Travatos with this engine back in 2015/16, they are very rare and a novelty more than anything.
Supposedly FCA only manufactured somewhere in the neighborhood of 2500 Promaster diesels over its 2.5 year, 2014, '15 and part of '16 run
