If it is right behind the bumper in the front of the van it is the hydroboost oil cooler. The hydroboost runs the power steering and ABS break booster from an on engine pump.

This may not have anuthig to do with your Q but,,,,can you tell me about the photo of the window (grill?) what it is ?
what it is for ?
I have a 08 ..210 but I don't have anything that looks like that ?

I think you may be referring to the upper fridge vent, which is integrated into the bottom of the galley window on 190Ps. It replaces what would normally be the tip-out section of the window and is actually below the level of the countertop.

Kind of slick, though on another thread there was some question of how to remove it if needed. There are no visible fasteners.

And yes, nothing to do with the question, which is about a part at the front of the engine bay.

You're right. I had forgotten that. Looked again, and the picture is definitely a 210, indicated by the shape of the rocker panel pods. Guess it must depend on the year, layout, and the size of the fridge installed. That vent set-up only works for a smaller under-counter fridge. Good catch.

In the 2006 brochure on the Roadtrek site, they show the same window upper vents on all the Chevies, 190, 190, 210. I think the all used the same undercounter unit then.

For the Chevy chassis RT 210, there are 2 variables depending on year: refrigerator size and interior layout. 2 fridge sizes were used 4, and 5 cu. ft. Interior (model) was either the Versatile or the Popular. For a 2008 210, the Versatile had a 4 cu.ft. counter height fridge and 3 coach windows on the driver's side. The exterior venting is that shown in the pic earlier in this thread, which utilizes part of the middle window for the upper vent.. The 2008 Popular had a 5 cu. ft. fridge (taller than the 4) and 2 coach windows on the driver's side. The exterior venting has 2 "standard" RV fridge vent panels, one low and one high and does not make use of a window. The RT brochures for both 2006 and 2008 have pics showing these details.

When we were still in the looking stage of getting a van, we actually saw what was probably a 2006, as that was the year we looked, 210 that had the bigger frig under the counter instead of along side it like most did (I think). It was at a dealer, new, in the Sarasota Florida area. I remember it well because my under 5' tall wife walked into the van and the countertop was nearly up to her chin (exaggeration a bit). She wasn't really into that but it made us very careful to always check counter height in anything we were going to see.
