Default 3M Wrap Film - Carbon Fiber Black

Anyone here have experience using wrap film on an automobile? 3M Di-Noc?

I'd like to cover my front bumper. It is painted, not chrome. Base model GMC.
I was thinking of using 3M Carbon Fiber Black to cover the front bumper.

Also, I'd like to put some fake windows on the roof like Roadtrek does on some models. I think Lazy Days also has fake windows for appearance on some model RV's. I'd probably go with one or four fake windows so as to not appear to be copying the Pleasure-Way's two window or Roadtrek's three window look.

I saw some photos where someone completely wrapped his Lexus in it.

I never heard of that stuff but I use to put decals on cars and trucks. If it is the same thing I may be able to offer some advice but like I said I don't know what you have.

I had 3M protective film installed on my Highlander 10 years ago, but it was a clear film. It went on the front bumper, leading edge of the hood and the side mirror fronts. I had zero issues with it and it prevented any paint chipping from flying gravel. I've just replaced the Highlander with (an almost new) Nissan Murano and I had the same 3M treatment installed on this vehicle. I don't know anything about the carbon fibre version, though.

Most of the wraps work really well, and 3M is generally considered the standard. That said, it is relatively thin stuff, so it is flexible, which makes it more prone to deterioration from UV and ozone. We sell similar material where I work, and I think they advertise 7 year durability, but if you live in the heat of Florida, and it sits in the sun all the time, you are really closer to 1- 2 years. Darker colors are worse than light. We have all seen what happens to the RV graphics, which are very thick by comparison, so you would expect the same from the wraps, but sooner. I would guess the Roadtrek fake windows are a heavy cast vinyl graphic material.
