Default 97 RT 190D awning question

Hello again, I'm on to my next question 🤣

The awning that is on my RT is still the factory one, and I haven't been able to source the parts to fix it. As shown in the pictures, I'm missing one of the brackets mounted to the RV body that holds the awning leg.

So my first question is does anyone have a source for those brackets?

If not, what sort of replacement awnings are you guys using?

I've considered doing a 270 degree batwing/foxwing style awning to wrap around the rear of the RV and give me more shaded area, but I haven't found a regular roll-up awning that would work with the curved body of the Dodge van.

All input is appreciated!

Looks like a Fiamma F45. Aside from Fiamma, gowesty.com carries parts and for me faster shipping at lower price.

you should have a crank which fits in a loop at the front end, turning counter clockwise the awning will start to come out. a 2nd person to support it as it comes out is handy.

once it is somewhat clear of the van there are articulating legs hinged at each end clipped into the outter frame, pull these out and extend to ground ( some of these need to be collapsed slightly to release from the stow clip).

The legs can go to the ground or clip into the van ( where you will walk into them)
there should be a horizontal brace for the middle of the awning stowed somewhere in your van

wind is your enemy, crank it in it the breeze comes up or when leaving the van.

my Pal lost his awning 2nd trip, walking to van saw a dust devil grab the awning tear it off ( holing his roof) and damaged another camper, busted a window, dents.

when cranking it in, the 2 red plastic clips lock it into position

Snagged one, thanks! Even cheaper than Amazon.

A suction cupped tarp with tent poles in the grommets works too.
