Default Any suggestions for installing an awning on Class B RV?

I have a 2001 Great West Classic (2001 Dodge Ram Van 3500 body) and want to install an awning on the side.

Any suggestions on length of awning or companies that I should buy from?
I'm leaning towards Carefree Freedom Wall Mount awning. I don't care whether it's manual or 12 volt but would like the ability to add a patio on the sides since I have dogs.

Any advice you great people have?

Thanks,
Alan

Is there any evidence that there was an awning on the van at some point? I think awnings are usually mounted with backing plates on the inside of the fiberglass to distribute the load. It would be useful to know where the backing plates are.
