Default Are there any Class B's that fit in a 9ft tall garage door

Our garage door height is exactly 9ft tall.
Are there any Class B campers that will fit?
Preferably 2019 or newer.
Thanks~

Thanks~ Our door height is exactly 9ft. I just changed the headline to include that info.
It looks like all of the Roadtreks are 9'5" with the A/C and we don't need an A/C so most of their 2022 models would work.
We're also strongly considering a Winnebago Solis 59PX (without the pop-top and without the A/C)

High-roof Promaster starts at 100” before anything is added to the roof.

My 2015 Roadtrek 170 was 8'9" and would fit. I suspect that the 190s on the Chevy will also fit. The AC is not on the roof, but built into the rear of the raised roof. (Pleasureway, GWV, and LTV too probably)

Check out the rigs for sale on the FMCA Roadtrek group. You don't have to be a member of FMCA to use it:

https://roadtrekchapter.org/roadtreks-for-sale/

Then the Roadtrek website has most of the brochures on file so that you can check the specs. You will need to confirm that previous owners hadn't done a lift.

my 2006 Pleasure Way lexor Td was 8'10" the highest point being the airconditioner.

I have since added a vent cover ( a real plus for function and comfort being able to open vent in the rain) takes us to 9'4"

Many Promaster based Class B's will fit under a 9ft garage door if you swap out the rooftop A/C unit for a low profile fan or vent. RV rooftop fans and A/C share the same 14x14 opening size so it's a relatively easy swap and can be reversed if needed for resale.

Attached is a photo of our Promaster 3500 based unit which fits easily under a 9ft garage door, even after installing SuperSpring suspension boosters front, Hellwig reinforced suspension in the rear and all terrain tires.

Also double check the Class B model you're considering to make sure it doesn't have other vents or antennas that stick up more than 6 to 7 inches above the Promaster roofline.

Doesn't the Promaster radio antenna stick up too far? Not that I use my radio that much though.

You don't say what type of garage door like barn doors or overhead doors. Most overhead doors are on curved tracks causing the door not clearing the opening all the way so you have to measure the door clearance not the opening. Some also say 9 ft. but the actual might be different because of nominal, rounding off or trim. Then I don't trust the builder of the van. They too can be rounding off the dimension, estimating or not fully reporting the actual clearance like antennas, open hooded Maxxfans and such. We have a marine roof hatch skylight when open can stick up about 16" or so. I would say a 9 ft. door for a van is cutting it close, especially with Class Bs 2019 or newer and will definitely limit you to what you can buy. Sprinters I know are out.

You might also be able to pull the door back some and hook it to give you a couple more inches of clearance. I do that to get my lifted Lexus in the garage at the cabin for the winter. Easy to do, I just took a hook from a rubber bungee strap and used a bit of small rope to tie it where I could pull the door open and hook it.

Generally, you can do that with up position limit adjustment on the opener if it has one. The other way it so lower the rear of the track a bit so gravity pulls the rear back a bit further if there is no opener on it.

I have 9'3" doors on a 10 foot ceiling with a low headroom kit that puts the springs in the rear and I have to set the opener to pull it back a bit from where it stops naturally to get max clearance going in and out.

Yes, the standard antenna does stick up above a H2 high roof Promaster. We replaced it with a CravenSpeed Stubby antenna so we don't have to unscrew it each time.

The Roadtrek 190 models (Chevy 3500) are 8'7" - 8'9" and the AC does not extend higher than that. Just make sure the fantastic fan is full down.

Also if you're cutting it close, the driveway should be fairly level in front of the garage otherwise you can lose another few inches due to the angle although that is most pronounced when the driveway slopes down towards the garage, and then up right in front of it. Don't ask me how I know

Check out the Pleasure Way Tofino. Approx 8'6" with pop top (closed...) and solar panels. No AC, generator or bath though, if that's a consideration.

I think the Winnebago Solis with the pop top and without the AC will fit in an 9' opening.
