Default Coachmen galleria 24q

Hey guys, the coachmen galleria 24q made it to be the top of my list as it has several features that we can’t get on other vehiclesI would like to know what you guys think of that vehicle. I am picking it over the 24t because I want that extra seat over the big fridge.

Your opinion trumps all others. Congrats on your pick!

I have a 2018 with the 8D 330 AGM battery. It is a very good coach now after spending a year fixing the manufacturing defects. The MB Sprinter part has been flawless after 20,000 miles. It drives great, maneuvers like my F250, and gets a little under 20 MPG. We have a Facebook Group Page where you can get all the info you want. Tell Dutch the Admin I sent you.

It seems so from the Facebook posts. All manufacturers have the same issues. Coachmen/Forest River has dedicated model customer service representatives that you can deal with directly. They immensely improve the turn around time for the repairs and expedite the parts. I dealt with Greg Legett but I think now they have more. It is worth the time invested, because the coach is truly wonderful. To be an RV owner requires patience and resourcefulness. The guys with the LI3 and the Pro Air 12 volt AC speak highly of it, if that's what you are looking for.

I probably won’t get it because it is 20k more. The thing is that I am buying them out of state sight unseen. Service in my area is horrible. I kind of need to use the vehicle during this time while we all work from home. That’s why I am willing to pay more for the class b over the c

I didn't get the LI3 either. I think you would only need that much battery if you need to run the AC with it overnight. The big AGM keeps the compressor refrigerator running for days and I have 300 watts of solar that supplies plenty of power to keep it charged. If the sun doesn't show for a few days the onboard generator substitutes.
What makes you chose the Galleria?

I would do it for my dog because I want ac to be running all the time should I need to run into the store.

As far as the selection, I think it comes down to the floor plan and price. I need a b with second row captains chair as I will be driving with 3 people. Passenger comfort is not there in a c and they are not always safe. That leaves me basically the winnabego , roadtrek airstream and galleria. Roadtrek is sold out till 2021 and everything is going to be a lot more than the galleria without any super special improvement that is worth the 20k more I need to pay. Lastly you can still get discounts off the galleria , so I think it is down to them barring any special things they come out

My AC runs fine on the generator but it goes through the propane pretty fast.
I am from PA and bought mine from Motorhome Specialists in Dallas, Tx. Best price by far. I didn't worry about the service aspect because Coachmen will authorize any repair facility to do warranty work as long as they adhere to the guidelines and get prior authorization.
Good luck on your quest.

How noisy is your galleria. With this sprinter c, I can’t talk to the passengers behind me and I can barely hear the radio. I know I Probably am picky as I am used to more quiet cars, but just need to know how bad it is

I’ll put it this way: when I am going 55 mph and I am comfortable hearing the music from the entertainment system I have to turn it down when I stop at a red light. Conversation at 55 requires a raised voice. I am a little hard of hearing, but don’t have hearing aids.
It is not any different in any other RV’s I had or rode in. It is a truck after all even though it’s a Mercedes.

Since no galleria is available for test drive here, I am going to try to hit an airstream and see what their gt is like. Honestly I did 300 miles today in the class c. My wife is in pain from sitting in the back. I was bored out of my mind due to how noisy the car was and the radio was useless. I really hope the car is better as a class b with the captains chair. If it isn’t, I might as well get an airstream trailer and tow it slowly

Default Galleria Coachman 2016- 2017 battery issue

I seek wise counsel.
My Galleria continually loses battery charge when left for a few days. I've come to realize that even though I turn off the radio it never fully is disconnected from power. I suspect that this is the cause for draining the sprinter battery?
If I am not using it for two days I feel compelled to disconnect the battery by the cable (next to the accelerator pedal). I compensate I always travel with a battery boost to keep me from having to jump the vehicle all the time. Has anyone else dealt with this issue? Grateful for any response
