Default Great West Van Ride-Rite suspension

Hi from a newbie on the English side of the 'big pond'. I have recently bought a GVW Classic Supreme on a 1997 Dodge (imported into the UK as new in September '97). I'd be grateful for advice from more experienced owners about the appropriate pressure to put in the Ride-Rite suspension helpers. I generally run them at about 35/40 psi but that's based on nothing more than a guess. Any better ideas please?

I had a Sprinter van with the air bag suspension so don't know if recommendations would translate. I was running 50 psi after experimenting. I think you'll get different opinions. Over the years I have read so many different ones. Your own opinion would be the best. What I would do is find a road course with enough variables to see how the suspension is affected and drive the course with the different psi's. You might want to do it with someone sitting in the back end for a second opinion and maybe do each twice trading off driving and sitting in back. Loading makes a difference too.

If you like the ride and handling then run them at the PSI you have. If the ride feels soggy and you experience a lot of sway in the wind or while cornering then add more air. You need to find the sweet spot between best ride and handling. PSI can be as low as 30 lbs and a high of 80 or 90. I have a class A with air springs and run them at 70 front and 80 rear .
