Default Group 31 AGM - Full River Battery?

Hi, I am looking to replace 2 NAPA Commercial Group 31 AGM batteries for a 2014 ERA 70A. While looking, a friend recommended Full River Battery. They run about $340 each vs. $250 for the NAPA. I was also told Trojan batteries but didn't find any of those locally. Anyone have experience with Full River?
Thanks in advance for thoughts posted.

Why are you needing to replace these batteries already? I've never heard of that brand, but by all accounts, the NAPA battery is supposed to be a very good quality battery.

Full River is a Chinese AGM brand that started out with a new factory a few years ago. They have a pretty good reputation, but not very high market penetration for RV stuff. I looked at them a couple of years ago and their specs didn't look very good for our plans. Fairly low charge rate maximums, not as high capacities. Some of the specs now look better, but I don't know if they changed the battery itself. They are very close to the price of Lifelines, if you get either online with free delivery, like we did, so we went with the very high reputation Lifelines.

I don't know who is making the NAPA, or if it is a deep cycle design or combo style, so can't comment on them.

We bought the Era used (delivered to previous owner Jan 2014) and once we started using it, the batteries became an issue. It was anticipated tho so replacement had been planned. I think the NAPA is a combo style.
Thanks for responding.

I'm pretty sure that NAPA batteries are made by Deka.

I believe you are correct Avanti. We've talked about it before.

Without fail, every time there is a thread about batteries, someone chimes in about Optimas. I really don't get it. When I've shopped for batteries, the Optimas had the smallest AH ratings. I don't think they even make a 100 AH battery, do they? Also, I didn't find their prices all that compelling.

I think the boaters like them because they are small - fit in a Group 24 space, so maybe in that class of battery you are getting more "punch" for a small size, I don't know. I have group 31 batteries in my boat, since I have the room for "big" batteries.

From the Deka literature, it appears that they make both combo and deep cycle in the 31 case size, so you would want to make sure you get the deep cycle version. Hard to say which NAPA would have private labeled.

Looks like you could get a Lifeline for $325-$350, they make two in that size, one with 105ah and one with 125ah.

If you want Lifeline AGMs I recommend you look at Powerstride, an online seller.
Batteries - Golf Cart - Marine - Deep Cycle - Motorcycle - RV - Powerstride

I just bought four Lifeline GPL-4CT 6 Volt Deep Cycle AGM Batteries for $299 each with free shipping. They came to my house via UPS in four separate boxes direct from the Lifeline distribution center in NC.
